February Meeting

Tuesday 19th February 2019

Topic - Garlic

Presenter - John Presley

This month the members were extremely lucky to receive not one but two presentations! The first one was a brief and very entertaining talk by our very own garlic expert, John Presley. He had recently been to the Meeniyan Garlic Festival where he had great success selling the top quality garlic he grows, and he told us all about it in his very animated and humorous fashion. John also brought some of his natural, organic, Australian grown garlic along for the members to purchase at a reduced price. Thank you very much John - it was greatly appreciated.

Topic - "At the Bottom of your Garden - A Magical & Wicked World!"

Presenter - Margaret Rackham

This morning's presentation was indeed something different. Margaret delighted us with a wonderfully amusing poem set to a cheeky digital display where she told us all about poisonous plants in a fun and humorous manner. Thank you very much Margaret for alerting us to all the toxic wonders lurking in our gardens. A very unique and enjoyable talk!

Betty Knox Award (Best Exhibit)

Winner - Ron Lewis

Exhibit - Unifoliate Streptocarpus "Grandis"

Congratulations Ron!

Popular Vote Award
